I recently discovered zoo chat at the end of last year and have loved looking at all the old and new threads for awhile now so decided to finally make a account! I'm not too knowledgeable on zoos so hope to learn more! I just love all the things I do know like enclosure design, breeding programs and of course all the animals!! I've been to very few zoological facilities in my life at least that I can remember. The only 2 I remember clearly being houston zoo which I regularly visit as a native and Texas state aquarium I love seeing everyone talk about zoos across the world here and hope to go to them some day I'm also a mobile user of this site which I hope doesn't make it too hard to navigate
The photo my profile is from was taken at the houston zoo where they are listed as Hydrochoeris hydrochaeris Although I do wish to see the other species some day even if from what I can tell their differences are small
Very cool Although I don't expect to visit Panama anytime soon sadly. And if I did I would probably be looking for wildlife out in the wilds already
